WOW !!!!!!! it looks great.
I love the Site, it looks very professional.  Mazal-tov in a job well done, or I should say being done. The website looks fantastic.   It is a pleasure to browse through.  A
real gift for our future generations.  What can I say, we can see you have
incorporated in it your heart and soul, and for this you have done a great
mitzvah.

Hello
Congratulations on your new site about the Behmoiras ( December 2003).
A close friend, Simon Behmo of France, brought to my attention that Haim
Behmoiras had a wife Boulissou Farhi. Josiane Smith did mention it in her
page at http://www.behmoiras.com/Josiane.html
I created on my site a new Farhi family as indicated below. I also added a
link to your site at http://www.farhi.org/links.htm
Since the Behmoiras are now linked to the Fleurs de l'Orient, it would be my
pleasure to add the descendants of Boulissou and Haim. I can also add anyone
linked to them as well.  My site is quite visible on Google and adding your
family tree will give you added visibility.
If you are interested we could exchange gedcom files or Reunion's since I
noted you are  also a Mac user. I will be happy to give copies of the
branches you need.
Would you be kind to forward this email to Josiane Smith.
Best regards,
Alain Farhi 17 January 2004
Editor: Thanks very much for adding a link in your site to our site. I forwarded your email to Josiane. She will write to you if she has not already done so. Thanks also for suggesting an exchange of gedcoms. Presently, we have not followed the ancestry of non-Behmoiras spouses. We may want to do the exchange in the future.

I've looked at the new Family Web site, and am very much impressed by the new "look" and by the effort that has gone into it. I also have a few observations, clarifications, and corrections that I'd like to share with you.
First, in the "8GA" list, you have my name (Isaac/Ike) listed as
     Behmoiram????
Why the question marks?
Other items appear on the "Not Classified" list that need to be fixed:
#5, Eli (NOT "Elie") Behmoiram was my late brother; he lived in NewYork    and, later, in New Jersey. Born 1926, died 1984.
#6, Eliezer Behmoiram; this was (I think) my father's cousin; he lived in
the Bronx before going to L.A.
By the way: I don't see my father, also Eliezer Behmoiram, on the ancestry list. He was born in Ederne in 1891, died in NY in 1945. Also, his brothers (my uncles) Haim Behmoiram and Max Behman (nee Marco Behmoiram).
#11, Maxine Behmoiram, is my ex-wife. She is a Behmoiram only by marriage, not "by blood," and shouldn't be on the list.
#14, Nissim Behmoiram, I believe was the son of #6 Eliezer. Nissim was severely wounded in WW II, and lived the rest of his life as a paraplegic. Historical note: Nissim appeared in an early Marlon Brando movie, "The Men."
#20, Solomon Behmoiram,  my living brother, is alive and well (considering that he's 82), and lives in Bayside, NY, with a winter residence in Delray Beach, FL.
That's all I can come up with for now. I hope this is helpful.
Keep up the good work.
Saludos,
Ike Behmoiram [Br.2] 18 January 2004
Editor:
1. The question marks (as explained in the preamble of the list) mean that we do not know the given name of that particular individual. In your case, you are Generation 11. Your father Eliezer is Gen 10. Your grandfather is Solomon, Gen 9. We DO NOT KNOW who Solomon's father is, so...????? for Gen 8! We have not posted any names of people of higher than 8th generation, therefore your father and uncles do not figure.
2. We would like to know if Risa is Maxine's daughter. In fact you did not give us any information on yourself. We do not know when you were born and if you have any additional children, and your wife's name.
3. You speak (for the first time) about a cousin Eliezer of his father. This is very important. Do you know if that Eliezer has children? You think that Nissim is his son. Are there any others? Did that Nissim have children of his own? What was the name of Cousin Eliezer's father? (he should have been the brother of grandfather Solomon Behmoiram).
4. Elie Behmoiram in our list was born 1929. Your brother Eli in 1926. Hence not the same individual.
5. I know that your brother Solomon is well and alive. The one I am looking for is dead. It is true that both were born in 1922, but this imay be mere coincidence.

Hi, Rafael and Raphael;
Thank you for your comments on my comments.
First, I thought I had given information about myself awhile ago, but my
memory isn't what it used to be.  I was born in The Bronx, NY on Jan.
29,1936, the third (and youngest) son of Eliezer Behmoiram (from Ederne)
and Rosa Behar Behmoiram (from Istanbul).  You already know about my older
brothers, Solomon (of Bayside, NY) and Eli (deceased). I married Maxine
Weiland (of the Bronx--who I discussed in my last e-mail) in December,
1961; we were divorced in March 1996.
Risa is our only child. (She and husband Perry Krasnove have a 2-year old
daughter--my granddaughter Danielle--and are expecting another baby
literally any moment.)
Regarding my father's cousin Eliezer--I really don't know very much; he and
his family moved to California when I was very, very young and I hardly
knew them. I'm quite sure that Nissim (per my last e-mail) was his son, and
there may have been a daughter or two, but I really don't know much. (I'll
ask my brother if he knows anything more.) By the way, since Nissim was a
paraplegic as a result of his war injuries, it's unlikely that he had any
progeny.
I hope this helps. And, by all means, keep in touch.
Best regards,
Ike [Br.2] 19 January 2004

My name is Rose Asa, I am the  daughter of Dr. Leon Behmoiras.  I live in Canada, Toronto and spend part of the winters in Pompano Beach Florida.
I heard about the family tree that you are trying to put together.  My niece and nephew Mariette and Berty told me to contact you.
I am in Florida now. I am not very learned about computers but I would like to see how far in the genialogy you ha ve gone and if I can be of any help, I will be glad to do what I can.
So far I could not get too much out of the web except for the picture that I have at home in Toronto, which is a picture of my father with his family.
Please, tell me what else I can find out, and how, and I will be very happy to keep in tou ch.

Very happy to hear from you and delighted by your offer to help us with our genealogy page. It would be great to hear from you about your reminisces as you were growing up. Tell us as much as you can about your father Dr. Leon and the family stories that he told you. Take a look at "Branches" and  click "Branch Stories" as a model. Depending on how you compose the story, it might be more appropriate to have the essay in the Biography section. Tell us if there is anything we can do to make your work easier. You need to point the cursor on the lettering of the item that you want to get to, and then click on it. You will thus be able to get past the opening page. Let us know if you were successful in accessing every section of the website.

I am very impressed by the magnitude of  this web site and am following its completion and expansion. When do you think we are going to see the genealogical trees of all the families?
Jacques Behmoras [Br.11] 26 January2004
Editor: The issue of the trees will be soon discussed in FORUM.

I have been trying to get onto www.behmoiras.com but cannot find any matches.  It's very frustrating because we are anxious to see what our family is up to!
With best wishes for the success of your great undertaking, I remain

Danielle has a baby brother!
Jared Evan Krasnove arrived on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 5:54 PM. He is 21.5 inches tall, and weighed in at 9 lbs. 7 oz. (Yes, you read that right--nine pounds, seven ounces!) Mommy Risa and Daddy Perry Krasnove are thrilled, big sister Danielle is excited, and grandparents are at risk of exploding with pride and joy!   Jared is a handsome little guy, and we're all thrilled to welcome him into the world.

I much like  the new way you are posting  the family branch.  It is easier to read.  Also would like  to see how we are all connected.  Every time I find a Chaim I jump thinking that it is Sam's grandfather.  I guess there are hundreds of Chaim's.  The web site is in my language 'a machaya' to follow and read.  Keep on working future generations will appreciate it.

Dear Rafael,
Please let me know how to print the family tree.

Fanny Behmoiras
25 April 2004

A.
Here is how to print the tree on a Mac. I know that you don't have the OS 10.3 version but I think that it should work just as well with OS9.
1.   Have e.g. the Shabatree on the screen.
2.   Start from left to right.
3.   Press Shift-?-4 The middle symbol, in case it does not reproduce is the apple
      key on the keyboard.
4.   You will now see a circle with a crosshair in the middle. Take the crosshair
to the lower right corner of the rectangle you want to capture for printing.
5.   Click your mouse and hold while you cover the whole area you want to capture
and let go at the top left corner. For page one, I have Rozi Behmoiras at the
right and Anonymous Alfassa at the left end.
6.   Uncover the screen and find the PDF icon labeled Picture 1. Double click it.
7.   Picture 1.pdf will appear.
8.   From menu File, click Page Setup.
9.   Click the landscape orientation, the middle one, and choose 73% for scale.
10. Click OK and then, from File, choose Print.
11. For picture 2: return to Shabatree and now choose Haim Behmoiras at right
and Michael Fishman at left of the rectangle.
12. For pict. 3: Y Behmoiras right and Anonymous Canetti left.
13. For pict. 4: Mazaltov Benveniste right and Mayer Behmoiras left.
14. For pict. 5: Barbara right and Yossi left.
15. For pict. 6: Mayir right and Victor left. And that should do it!

My name is Mitchell Surowitz, I am Fanny's Grandson.  I am trying to print out the family tree from the Behmoiras website, however it is very complicated.  I was wondering if you could e-mail me the directions for printing the family tree on a regular PC computer.  I think this website is a wonderful thing.  Thank you for all the effort that you put into it.   Thank You.
May 2, 2004

Editor:  Since others may experience the same difficulty, we thought it appropriate to post the answer on the Website. Here is a way of printing on a PC, suggested by Raphael Ventura:
Place on the screen the part of the tree you want printed.
Then, press the key "Print Screen". Nothing spectacular will happen, but that part of the tree will be placed on the memory of the computer. Then you may paste that part of the tree as a jpeg on a word document, or better on a PowerPoint document just by clicking the right button of the mouse and choosing "Paste".
Then you may crop the picture to get rid of the unneeded borders.
Then you drag the picture to enlarge it so that the characters are legible in "slide presentation" mode.
You may thus print the entire tree in succession and paste the various parts, each on a different "slide" of PowerPoint.
Then you print all and paste your tree to assemble it on paper.
You may skip the cropping stage, since you will anyway have to cut and paste with scissors.
Suggestions for a more elegant way of printing are welcome.
